I have a number of tables where batch adds/updates are made and I don't want to lock out users from updating/adding records on/to other batches. What I sacrifice in performance, I make up in functionality.

Actually, I'd probably be better off by using record level flags instead of locking each record in a batch, but this is a legacy 2.5 app that will be phased out within the next 18 months. We are placing a band-aid on it to make it multi-user.

I'm open for suggestions if you have any.
