All software today uses a combo box in one form or another.
I have tried to get this control to work in my applications
without success.

Case in point;
*** Incremental Search on the License Filed in Vehical Table.
*** Incremental Search on the Name Field in Customer Account Table.

As I type characters the pointer should move through the table.
When the control is expanded, the record pointer should be on the
record that comes closest to letters I have typed.

THIS HAS NEVER WORKED FOR ME.

My work around has been to use a text field and grid control
combination.

To get this to function; I type in a string of letters then seek
the string. If no match is found it goes to bottm of file. (Not Found()).

At the very least you would think the record pointer would stop at the closest match.

Would any users out there have code snippets and control settings to get
this to function normally. Over ten years of working with foxprow
and I still cannot make it work the way I have seen other software work.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I prefer to talk to someone if possible. (Call collect if necessary)
