Hi Mahmood,

Clipper (by default) and VFP uses different index and memo file system. If You want to share tables between Clipper and VFP apps, You have to abandon using default NTX RDD and link CDX RDD (replaceable driver) into Clipper application. If You want to enable simultanous data entry between two apps in both ways, suggestion is to have some kind of "semaphor" file (indicators for lockings).

There are also several add-ons for Clipper to make the same thing (probably on better way): Comix RDD, Codebase, AdvantageDatabase...

So, it is possible to use Clipper and VFP application sharing tables, and this is normal and not problematic.

I have experience using Clipper app (with lined Advantage Database Server's DBFCDX driver) working with VFP6 application.

Hi All:
My company wants to use a application written in Clipper to talk with application written VFP 6.0. We are using Win 2000. Does anyone sees a probelm in using programs written in clipper talking to VFP and passing data from Clipper to VFP? Also is it good idea to use clipper?

Thanks
