The biggest issue I noticed when running inside a Citrix environment was VFP apparently timing out when expecting a response for data access. This manifests itself as missing child records, records or files not found, and the like.

>My hypothesis is that a SQL statement MAY take forever to return a result, and therefore VFP waits around to see if anything happens... but if there's no handshake in X amount of time regarding the locates or appends, it times out and returns an odd, red herring, type of error message that will only make you crazy trying to debug it :)

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the response. Have you seen any problems due to too much RAM being in the Citrix server? I guess one of the IT dept. admins simply said "I've heard that FoxPro has problems on servers running 1 GB and more of RAM"... They haven't actually tried it yet.

Unfortunately I can't change the way their application works since they are working on replacing it with something else. It was just a question that I was asked since I'm one of the few VFP developers they know.
