I'm sorry, but I doubt that anything programmatically can be done here, and certainly not if the server is being RESET while the VFP application is running on workstations.

You have NOT described under what conditions the server is being reset, but I can tell you that IF it is being reset WHILE workstations are running the application then NOTHING can solve this EXCEPT for NOT RESETTING WHILE FILES ARE IN USE.

Is the server a WinNT or Win2K-Server or is it a peer-to-peer Win98/WinME/Win2000-pro/WinXP "server"?

IF it is peer-to-peer, then it may be that they are exceeding the LIMIT (10 connections total, I think). I believe these errors MIGHT be symptomatic of such a situation.
