As I've been sitting here thinking about .Net I have been under the impression that it is a wonderful opportunity to learn some of those languages that have always intrigued me such as SmallTalk, and Python. I was under the impression that there were .Net versions of these languages that participated in the .Net framework. After some investigation into ActiveState's VisualPython ( www.ActiveState.com ) I received the following response to an inquiry about using MM.Net with VisualPython:

Hi Mike,

Visual Python as a product is a language support plug-in for the Python language
in Visual Studio .Net. It does NOT include support for creating .Net
applications that can be referenced in .Net.
If you want to integrate Python code with Mere Mortals ie calling Python code
from MM callbacks, you should look into the Win32 extensions of Python bundled
with ActivePython.
If you want to create a GUI natively in Python code, you
might want to look into wxPython.
