This isn't help, but it's the first Q I would ask: If you create an *extremely* simple vfp7 exe, no activex, COM etc., like just a text file to install, for example, and no forms, classes, data, etc. Do you still get the same errors?

I'm also unclear as to whether vfp7 (the tool) is installed on the 98SE machine?
