Be sure to consider getting an MSDN subscription, perhaps at the Professional level (http://msdn.microsoft.com/newsgroups/). For a few dollars more you can have full versions of VS6, VS7, VFP7 and VFP8, as well as other goodies. You can also shop around for a price that's lower than the MS published price.
