>Well, could be, but you'd think it would have made the news here and elsewhere. But not a lot of 98/ME users these days (nor NT, either), so you could be right. I take it you have no vfp6 or 8 or other OS to check on this.

We have MSDN Universal - so we have everything (and isn't that a joy, looking after all of those CDs).

I just tried installing VFP 6 on the 98 and it didn't work either. At the moment I am going to take a punt and say that maybe VFP isn't compatible on Windows 9X when running on VMWare. I just don't have any "Real PCs" to test this theory on today. But it does work fine on VMWare on all other OS's (Windows NT4, 2000, XP, 2003 server).

Has anybody else ever run VFP on VMWare using Windows 98? In the meantime I am going to try and find a spare PC to install 98 on. Like you say, you have been using VFP on 98 for 6 years (and we were too until the start of last year I think) - So I think that pretty much leaves it to being VMWares fault at this stage. (Yes I know, I should have revealed the VMWare secret earlier. Sorry)

Thanks for all your tips Bruce.

Chris.
Have a nice day :)
