Have they never programmed at all before in any language or just not in VFP? I think the VFP classes at TakeNote are very beneficial. We trained 4 programmers through TakeNote and took a standard beginning class and then a modified accelerated course and all programmers walked away with a lot of knowledge, example apps they had built in the class and plenty of code, and all were able to start off on their own programming with VFP from then on. It is also good because it teaches good programming habits and common VFP programming standards...
