From VFP HELP

The Transporter creates Windows platform records from the Macintosh or MS-DOS records so that the Converter can then convert the files to the Visual FoxPro 7.0 file format (necessary for use of these files with later versions of Visual FoxPro).

Is your file MAc or DOS file ?

What version ?

Did you try deleting Foxuser.dbf and try again.
