>using VFP 8.0 i have a super complicated report that has over 100 fields. the client hates the VFP print preview and wants me to create a custom one. so i am creating a form that looks like the report. question - is there any way to copy a field or a text label from a report to a form. as it is now, i am having to recreate each field and label one by one. copying and pasting does not work.

This may be too late to help you, but the way I would approach this is to avoid doing calculations in the report as much as possible. I prefer to do calculations ahead of time, and put the results into a cursor that the report uses. Then, you can easily switch from a VFP report to some other kind of output without changing much.
