Well, I never worked with CREATEOBJECTEX() but I´m quite sure, that there is a big difference between those two commands. CREATEOBJECTEX() creates an instance of a registered COM object on a remote computer, while the CREATEOBJECT() command doesn´t work remotely. As you just get back the instance of an object with CREATEOBJECTEX() the object can just be closed on your remote computer in my view.
