Hey Nadya
Sorry to here you are between things. Why Columbus? Boston is a great place. I like that you can take the "T" almost anywhere, who needs a car. I did a management seminar in Columbus in the 70's, whoa, many moons ago.

I am developing in VFP7, accounting apps with Oracl and VFP backends for desktop and the internet/intranet. The powers to be here aren't sure about the effects updating. Our application server is still 6.0, so I have to deal with that. My boss has an issue with having to update all user workstations with the new runtimes. I have created a script in Inno to load the runtime files and register them using them MS mgmt console. Our management is not up on MS 2000 stuff so they are afraid to try new stuff. We just last month got new computers with 2000pro. Oh well, the wheels move slow and our agnecy is one of the most progressive in FL state govmt.

Where is John, I guess MS keeps him busy (he never really said what is "job" is). Its to bad he isn't here, we had some fun. There aren't to many developers here either that are very communicative. My office has only 2 developers to handle 80+ apps, so I am mostly on my own. So, many thanks for the UT and the Wiki!

>Hi Chuck,

>Nice hearing back from you. It's good, you're not having issues. Are you programming in VFP8? I am out of work for about 4 months and this is very depressing... Today, though, I had an interview for Web Developer position. Since there are 6 other candidates, they are interviewing, the chances to get the job are slim....

>I am living in Columbus now, don't know developers here except for Gregorio. When I lived in Boston I had an opportunity to go to several Boston User Group meetings (thanks to my friends Dmitry Litvak and Marina Trubitzyn). This was a wonderful experience for me...
>
>I never met Ed but as everyone here at UT I enojyed his posts and learnt a lot from his waste knowledge. His passing was one of the deepest sorrows for me in the last couple of years...
>
>BTW, John is not that active here nowdays as he used to be... :(
