While testing API function SendInput to send keyboard events to a window text box, I discovered that those events are not cleared from the keyboard input stream after completion of the SendInput function while the window has the focus. When I press the enter key or move the arrow keys, those events are entered again into the text box as if I had pressed the keys manually.

Is there a way to clear the keyboard input stream after using API function SendInput without having to close the window?
