I am not sure why you are relocating from the dataenvironment to Form.Load(). I often use the DataEnvironment, and I think there is not much difference between the two approaches. However, I have heard that opening files in the DataEnvironment is faster. I have not done speed tests.

One important reason to use Form.Load() is that you can not subclass a DataEnvironment (before VFP8?), so if you want to inherit forms, you may simply be forced to use Form.Load().
