Well I found out was causing the problem. When we do an install of our software we ususally have a seperate hard drive that it gets installed on. In development the programmers in our office are using windows xp. So rather then creating a partition or installing a second hard drive we map a drive to the c: drive on our machine. We do this to simulate a user environment during development before movign to a test platform...
We have a setup table that points to the drive and path of the tables in our main database..On my development machine if i move these paths to c: rather then the mapped drive (p:) i have to c: then stonefield throws an error the first time opening the data after the validate method is used. Not that big of a deal since i just have to open the newly created table and the recreate the back link in a maintenance form. Just thougth i would report my findings.
