To get REQUERY() to fail when using it properly i.e.

lnResult=REQUERY(lcAlias)

or

IF REQUERY( lcAlias < 1

you have to consume more resources. In the example I provided, if you load more class libraries you should be able to reproduce it even when checking for a return value. It is hard to reproduce using code like above, maybe on 2% of the time, but it does occur and if you have an app processing 1000's of REQUERY()'s a day it shows up quite often.

I will try to create a REQUERY() "wrapper" and add the retry as you suggested to find out how often it fails. Thans again for the suggestion!
