To explain futher, I open the parameterized view in the load event using some dummy variable as parameters . Then I requery the view based on the parameters passed on from the calling program in the init of the form.
The property sheet is initially set to the view in the recordsource. I am using alias as the recordsourcetype and am using VFP8.
The control source in the property sheet is completely ignored and the grid is generated based on the order of the fields in the view. The control count for the grid is 11 columns the grid is limited to 11 columns. The headers are correctly displayed, however the values in the column are not correct..

>>I have a grid with a view as record source. I set the recordsource in the init of the form by code. I also set each column and field to a control source in the view using the properties control at design time. The grid disregard the control source field setting and displays the column in the order of the fields in the view. I know I can create another view with the fields in the same order as the columns I want displayed, but I use that same view for another grid which has a different set of columns that are displayed.
