>I have a database table which I am being told has exceeded its size limit (2GB) by the software vendor. The consequence of this is that when I try and open it I get a message 'Not a Table'. Does anybody have any ideas of how I can get into this file?

Neil, the first thing you will need to do is "fix" the file. There are several commercial and free utilities that can fix this. Here on the UT downloads section you can find:
ATFixDbfFpt 1.5a, all xBases supported. File #
9930and
Crashed tables rebuilder File #
9264Make a backup of the files before you start! Once the file is fixed do not add more records until you have accessed the data you need and reduced the file size either by packing or deleting redundent records.
