I am only interested in events caused by users
who change values in -for example- text- and listboxes.

If the user changes the value of the "Surname-Field" I should set
a flag (lbDataHasChanged) to .T.

In this way I could check if data needs to be saved before the user
does any calculation with the values known to the system. (System = Database our FrontOffice app connects to.)

I have a workaround at this moment - took a lot of
development time - but it works fine.
