All was fine & dandy, when one day the file server decided to go extremely slow. No modifications had been to the system for a couple of weeks.
Hardware company turned off OPLOCKS on server, no change.
Hardware company advised us to tidy up the server, which we did now its less than 50% full. No joy.
Hardware company told us to put latest service pack for Novell 5, which we did. No change.
Then we put in a new faster server, that increased the speed, and everyone was happy.
Then the FPD26 appears to be losing data? One minute its there, next its gone? CDX files are going out of sync. File attributes keep changing from RWSH (read write shared) to RW (read write)
File locking seems to work fine, but foxpro is losing info?
Anyone know if Novell still works okay with FPD26, we have used it for more years than I care to mention, and its worked fine.
Should be going over to NT2000?
Can anyone offer any help?
