Hi Howard

>Is there a way to link to a free vfp table from msaccess2000 using odbc, where only selected fields of the vfp table are visible from within the msaccess application? (like you can do from within vfp using modi sql view)

Sure, just open your Database, Right Click and choose "Import" then change the file type to "ODBC Databases" and choose the VFP ODBC Driver, then specify the "Free Table Directory" (rather than VFP Database)

From there on in you can connect to a VFP table or tables and define the columns to retrieve in the Access View Designer
