Just to add clarification, I am still the VFP Product Manager, since VFP is in the VS Data group.
The VSData group is part of the RAD Business Unit (comprising Visual Basic, dotNet Client, NetStep and ourselves). As our name suggests, we are committed to developing data products and tools for customers of the developer division at Microsoft. Currently, we are involved in two projects: Visual FoxPro and Visual Database Tools.
Visual FoxPro is a powerful database development system for creating high-performance desktop, rich client, distributed client, client/server, and Web database applications.
Visual Database Tools are a set of tools in the Visual Studio .NET development environment which help create and manage data-driven applications that use data in databases.
