I was asking about value stored in sqlkey not about its type. If it isn't enclosed in the quotes than you should do that in the query itself. Either

sqlkey =["samevalue"]
* or 
[Where loan_mortgagor_info.loan_id = "] + sqlkey + ["] + ;
