Moving from VFP6 to VFP8 would carry so many benefits, I can't imagine not making the switch immediately. In fact, we recently did exactly that.

And as far as any issues mentioned here, they generally apply only in very specific circumstances. I've yet to see one that would cause me not to make the switch. Let's face it, has *anything* been reported that's any worse than what you worked around in any prior version? ;-)

Another reason to upgrade: support for VFP6 ends in just a few short months. Better to make the switch now so you can work through any issues you do need to work through before the cutoff comes.
