>As a newbie to Mere Mortals, I'm trying to setup a form for a single-record datafile (that is in the DBC). However, no view is needed here. I've created the business object and added it to the form. It's data access object has the cursor name as "SysCntl" - the name of my DBF. However, I have to set the field's control source to "_SysCntl_." to make them visible.

It should pick up the alias correctly from the data environment, unless you have multiple tables and the "right" one isn't the active one.

I'm using views only, so I'm unsure about needing underscores in the control source.

You'll probably get more and better responses from the UT's dedicated Mere Mortals category, looks like you missed it by one in the dropdown. ;)

Chris.
