Hello,
I am using InstallShield Express 4/SP1 along with the Crystal Reports 9
Merge Module to install my software.
I install my software using an Administrator account and ensure that the
software is installed for All Users.
After the installation, my program runs without a problem from the
Administrator account.
The problem starts when I log in as another user and try to launch my
software. At this time, the InstallShield Installer comes up and tells me
that it is configuring my software and goes through the installation
process -- at least until it stops responding.
I have used msispy and have found two entries dealing with the Crystal 9
merge module that are the problem. They are as follows:
Entry One:
Cache.68FCF676_98BE_41AD8EC9_E806EEC940CB
C:\Program Files\Crystal Decisions\Report Designer Component\Cache
Entry Two
crdb_ODBC_reg.A95D0BB4_0582_442D_B456_D295EAEB7628
01:\Software\Crystal Decisions\9.0\Crystal
Reports\Database\CurrencyAsNumber
Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?
(I have sent this message to both Crystal Decisions and InstallShield.)
Thanks,
TFISHER
