>Currently our app builds a printer table using the aprinters() function. This makes the printers currently installed on a workstation available in our app. This function does not return whether a printer is a laser. If we had a way to determine if the printer is a laser we could remove that printer from the table.

What about Inkjet and Bubble Jet printers ? Or the other "drivers" that do not correspond to an actual physical printer ? (eg. PDF drivers).

I think it may still be easier to present a "one-time" list (via APRINTERS()) and have the user flag what type of "printers" that the various drivers are referring to and then use that (stored) list to facilitate the actual printing process later on.
