Hello Joseph,
You'll find that most framework settings like this have both a global setting and one that can be overridden at a more "local" location...
Fortunately, this is one of those cases. I suggest keeping the global setting as the one most used by your system (local or remote).
Then, for each business object you want to use the other setting, change its DE by right-clicking the BizObj and selecting "Builder." On the first page, in the "Data Environment Settings" section, click the 4th button to the right of the "Class Name" TextBox, the one with the arrow. Use the "Use Local Data Override" ComboBox to make your change. Save the environment and that should do it!
Hope that helps,

>I am using a combination of local and remote views in my application. The local views are the views generated by the framework, e.g., lv_users, lv_usergroups. I am using remote views to populate business objects for grids that are children of my header business objects, which are populated with remote data via SQL Pass Through.

If I don't check the "Use Local Data" box, it doesn't find the above-mentioned local views, and a prompt to open tables appears before the login screen.
