I think you're absolutely correct. It's a sad state of affairs. Perhaps these companies should consider outsourcing highly paid executive positions instead ... That way, they could really save a bundle!

There are not many companies any more that are in business to do anything else besides make their financial statements look good - no looking out for employees - improving quality of life - etc.
