If you right click on "Databases" or a database already created and select "All Tasks > Restore Database" you dont have to create the database a head of time. Just type in what you want to call the new restored database.

What error are you getting?

>I made a backup of a database at work and attempted to restore it on a different server, at home actually. Is there a procedure I should follow? I keep getting error. I created a database with the same name as the one at work hoping to fake it out.
