>Maryland and Governors – reminds me of a Republican Vice President named Agnew. I remember when Agnew resigned as Vice President for having taken a $50,000 payoff as Governor of Maryland, from a construction firm for a state contract. I recall Agnew’s words, “I am innocent of any wrong doing”! I still laugh as I take that to mean that political payoffs are the norm and should not be questioned. At least the politicians feel that is the case! :)
