Did you try sp_attach_db system sproc?

>I have received data from a client who is using SQL server and I need to be able to copy to, restore or somehow access this data on my server. I have SQL 7 SP4 and have received the data in 2 forms.

>1. I received a backup file that I thought I could restore. When I try to restore this data, I get the following error.

>2. They sent me the .MDF and .LOG files from SQL server. I have looked and have found no way to get these files to be recognized by my server.
