Yes, Marcia I should be upgrading my OS. I had to buy a new computer to operate Web Connect and at that time Windows NT 4.0 was supposed to be OK but it has been a headache right from the start.
The only way I can upgrade to NT 200x is to buy another computer. Most of my clients (i.e. schools) have upgraded to Windows XP and they had to wipe out my softare (any everyone else's) to do it. The screen interface is really clumsy but I guess there are some underlying features that make it worthwhile. My Web Server (located in California) works on Windows NT 2003 and we had some huge problems getting it to display PDF files properly. Windows NT 4.0 is much superior in that area. What really surprised me was that when we had problems with the Web Server, MS offerred no free support. Years ago they would give you 3 free phone calls but now they want your credit card right away. You know the US Dept of Defence is now going through the steps of qualifying Linux for mission critical operations. If Linux ever got a serious foothold, I think MS Support might become a little cheaper than $70 per 10 minutes. And maybe they would develop new OS's that don't flatten your hard drive.
Now this is the type of thing I would like to talk about at a conference!
