In the company I worked for the Data Entry is done in India. Also I developed an electronic data entry process (some registries gave us electronic files in different formats). While working on BR for the project I spoke with the person who did most of DE in house. She told me, that Data Entry job gives her 3/4 of her wages and she has 3 kids...
Well, the company profit is always more important, than somebody's personal circumstances... :(
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
