I am trying to get access to fpw 2.6 dbfs from my sql server 2000. I have installed the VFPOLEDB driver, the provider string I use (w/ uri path) works from my desktop, but when I try to link a server in sql server, I get the message:

Could not create an instance of OLE DB provider 'VFPOLEDB'
OLE DB error trace [Non-interface error: CoCreate of DSO for VFPOLEDB returned 0x80040154].

I did not install mdac 2.8 because what i read from m$ about it makes me think it should already be there. besides, 2003 is not in the list of supported OSs.

Any help?!

I wonder why Descision Support Object seems to be involved.
