I just spent a thrilling afternoon massaging the Northwind data that comes with VFP 8 for a course I'm teaching this fall. All I had to do was convert everything to Hungarian notation, replaced the integer keys with 36 char guids, get the table names to be all plurals ... ( after 20 years of this my 'favorite' bug is still not remembering if I have named something singular or plural <g>)
Still beats dummying up data, though. Examples just never seem as impressive with only four records in each table

>Actually, I used that handy database in courses when teaching how to get an auto-generating key. So it was actually useful in its useless state. :-)

>>>That wasn't in the spec we got. <g>

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy
Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.
-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin
Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
