I can see that at runtime I should make sure that the component is drawn correctly, but I'm dissapionted that there is no way that I can ensure that the component is redrawn correctly if a developer resizes the component when designing a form.

Let's face it, there's not often a time when components are resized except by code and things could be written then. It seems a waste of a resize method that it can't be used all the time.
