Actually I just left off the nn from Arcust01. There is only one company, 01, and the full name is used any time the entire table is referenced. The parameterized view in the application DBC is named Customer but can have up to 3 other aliases in some forms.

Perhaps it's tables in a DBC that are contrary <s>; I've used the DBC for views since it was introduced and had no problems. I didn't have problems when the accounting data was in 2X-style tables. The problems started when AccPac introduced the VFP DBC. I'm beginning to think that there may not be a solution. By that I mean that there doesn't seem to a sequence of events or commands that allow me to include the parameterized view in a form's DE and be certain the Arcust01 data will be found every time on every workstation.
