Read their SBS license carefully. SQL Server can be licensed per server. If that is the case, then you will not need any SQL CALs. If it is licensed per user, then SQL CALs will be needed. In either case, you need Windows Server CAL for each workstation that connects to the server.

>Hi - I was wondering if anyone could give an outline of SQL licensing requirements for a VFP/VB front end application with a SQL Server 2000 backend. The client already has MS Small Business 2000 server with SQL Server 2000 installed but do they need addition licenses as well as their CALS?
