all my DataEnvironments are in code
and i just instantiate them when i load a new
form - my form class has a DE property where u specify which
DE to load (if any)
my "coded" DE's use relative paths as well
so i don't have this prob.

btw,I created a tool (DE extractor) so as not to loose the
ease of use of the DE designer VFP has (i think u can get it
here at the download corner. oh ,and its free <s>)
