Sorry. I didn't really look beyond your 'New Filestream' line. Now that I have I'm not sure I understand what you expect your code to do. I see nowhere where the FileStream content is related to the ADO Recordset. What is rtfText and what happens in here:

 Me.rtfTest.SaveFile(fs, RichTextBoxStreamType.RichText)
