What OS and version? Do you have an appropriate account to run under with the right permissions?
I'm assuming you already went thru the following for COM+ install:
From Windows2000 Server, I went into Control Panel, Component Services:
1.)I right clicked COM+ applications and selected New.
2.)I went through the wizard, creating an Empty Application, giving it a name/check server application, and selecting the appropriate account to run under.
3.)After the Empty Application was created, I right clicked on 'Components' under the newly created application.
4.) I selected New/Component.
5.) The wizard starts and I select 'Import components that are already registered.'
6.) I selected avfpdemo2 from the list and it was added to this COM+ app.
7.) I right clicked on the COM+ application name (in this case, avfpdemo2) and selected 'Start'. The COM+ icon is now revolving in the Components pane.
It should now be running under COM+.
>Thanks for the continued assistance. Now I have the app installed and almost running on the test machine (win2k). The web pages display OK but I can't get to the SQL database again. The last time you said I should set up the app as a com+ server and gave me great directions which worked fine on my development machine. On the test machine, however, I don't see the app's dll in the list of registered components. I also notice that I don't see it in the list on my development machine either so I'm really wondering how it got/gets registered as one of these components? I'm sure I must have missed a step somehere...
