The "entry point not found" is typical of a service pack mismatch (according to my w2k MCSE training anyway). Reinstall the latest Windows 2000 service pack first and force it to overwrite the files. Some possibilities: did the user restore to that computer from a backup at any time? Does that machine have mailwasher installed (there are issues with mailwasher versions and certain ntdll versions)...Also, try it logged in as the domain or local admin afterwards...

You may also try (be very careful) to determine if a dependency is out of whack.

>We are switching to VFP 8.0, so we have recompiled the app in 8.0 and called it JOBLIST8.EXE. We installed and registered the 8.0 runtime DLLs. When we try to run the 8.0 version, we get an error about NTDLL.DLL and "Entry Point Not Found". The weirdest part is that we can click OK on the error message and the app comes up fine. But, we want to try to get this error free so that we know we can trust our 8.0 stuff.

>So, is this just a Windows 2000 thing? Maybe even just that workstation? We don't have a lot of Win 2000 stations around to test this. Has anyone else noticed something like this with Win2000? Is there an updated version of NTDLL.DLL we need? Reinstall Service Pack 4 maybe? Any help would be appreciated!
