I appreciate your suggestions. Here's what I've tried so far:

The fullpath to both Prodata.dbc and Arcust01 are stored as a properties of the App object and are used to Open (or Use) these in the BeforeOpenTables() of the Form's DE. I have also tried the Init() of the DE but haven't tried Load() of the Form. I wouldn't think that would matter; it occurs just a little later in the sequence of events.

I've also included the Arcust01 view (the local view of the full Arcust01 table on which the parameterized view is based in the application DBC) in the form's DE and made sure it is Used BEFORE the parameterized view is Used.

The stored paths to the AccPac data match exactly across the enterprise but each user has his own application DBC of local and remote views so the paths in those will never match the ones compiled into the Form DE.

I'm sure much of this is overkill but even at that it doesn't ALWAYS work. Ironically, I've noticed that one particular Form's DE occasionally finds the data for the parameterized view the FIRST time it is used but will fail on the Use...Again...Alias statements which reference the parameterized view of Arcust01 later on. Overall, the process works between 95 and 98 per cent of the time -- but that's not quite good enough <g>.
