Don't know what's wrong with your code and I've never used the RichText control but I would have expected to be able to use just:

Me.rtfTest.Text = myRow("imgText") 'and vice versa

Does the above not work or are there other reaons for using the rtfTest.SaveFile/LoadFile methods ?
