Sorry but what is SPT?

I have nevertheless tried to copy-paste the formulae from the original views into the clubbed view and still externally this view hangs. Also I have tried to make small the views and then using the smaller views in the external program thru ODBC. Yet there comes a point of time when this smaller view does hang.

One thing is confirmed that a view inside a view is not the absolute problem. It is some combination of data-type, calculation and main table calling combination.

If you are interested I don't mind pasting the hanging view code and it's required parent sql codes for your ref. I can also send you the dbcs and the .rep files won't be a big zip file and you can download the Report Manager from sourceforge.net

We have holidays for our Wed and Thur, yours Tue and Wed, I can paste it then.

Thanks for your responses. Believe me this problem has got my app stuck right in the middle and even after so much trying I haven't really been able to bypass the problem.
