Are both 802.11b and WiFi compliant? Otherwise, are all 802.11a? (The two do not work together) What brand adapters and hub are you using? I thought the Intel Anypoint Wireless was fairly simple with easy to read instructions and included a connectivity manager for troubleshooting and locating wifi devices. Does the brand you purchased contain any troubleshooting utlities? Do you also have any hardwired NICs installed in either workstation? Sometimes there can be a conflict so removing them typically works if you experience problems.
