Use GETNEXTMODIFIED() in a DO WHILE loop like so:

mnnextmod=GETNEXTMODIFIED(0)
IF mnnextmod#0
mnupdates=1
DO WHILE .T.
mnnextmod=GETNEXTMODIFIED(mngetnextmod)
IF mnnextmod=0
EXIT
ENDIF
mnupdates=mnupdates+1
ENDDO
ENDIF
